“He Said Some Stuff He Shouldn’t Have Said”: Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Cocky’ Behavior Once Got Him In Trouble With a 60-Year-Old WWE Legend

There are many WWE legends who have shared how things weren’t always great for Dwayne Johnson in WWE initially. Many WWE stars at the time were not happy with the push he was getting after two years of his debut. However, once he had a fight backstage with a now 60-year-old WWE legend and the former star once shared the reason.

As per the WWE legend, ‘The Brahma Bull’ said some things he shouldn’t have. Moreover, he also added how there were rumors of DJ not liking him due to his wrestling name.

WWE legend once recalled having a fight with Dwayne Johnson

The Attitude Era was one of the wildest times in the history of WWE. All the WWE superstars were thriving for success by going to any means possible to entertain the fans. Moreover, there were arguments and fights backstage too, and once The Rock had a fight with Ahmed Johnson.

Once while talking to Wrestling Shoot Interview, the former Intercontinental Champion recalled having a real fight with DJ. He shared it happened in the locker room over a match.

Johnson said, “Me and The Rock got into an incident in the locker room…We got into a scuffle into the locker room one time…He was saying some stuff and it wasn’t about me. He said some stuff he shouldn’t have said to anybody and  I came around and confronted about it…The thing that he was saying was, I mean there was an incident if I can recall correctly.”

The former WWE star added, “So I’m about to match it up with and he didn’t want to do their high spots at one point or something like that. I didn’t like the fact that he was getting a little cocky and little, too cocky for me. We had a match coming up and while going into the match I was willing to do his high spots, but he wasn’t willing to do mine.”

Johnson later recalled his conversation with The Rock saying his DJ was not doing his high spot, he also wasn’t going to do the same. Furthermore, he said to the host about them throwing a few blows at each other.

Ahmed Johnson retired from pro wrestling in 2003 five years after his departure from WWE. Since then he began working for Booker T and Stevie Ray’s Pro Wrestling Alliance wrestling school. Also, the former WWE star told about the rumors of The Great One being jealous of him for having ‘Johnson’ in his WWE name.

After talking about the fight the legend shed light on his name Ahmed Johnson in WWE. Moreover, DJ started as Rocky Maivia and there were rumors of the People’s Champion was jealous of him over that name.

The former Intercontinental Champion reminisced about somebody telling him about The Rock and his father didn’t appreciate it. The Rock wanted to wrestle as Johnson just like his father but WWE gave him another name.
