Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle made history when they main evented WrestleMania XIX. It is the only WrestleMania main event to feature wrestlers with real names. But there is more to this match than just records. It is considered one of the best WrestleMania main events and best remembered for a botched moonsault from Lesnar.
The rivalry between the two wrestling champions carried on for two more matches, including Summer Slam and an Iron Man match on SmackDown in 2003. Many Wrestling fans and former wrestlers fondly remember the rivalry, including Lita, who praised Lesnar.
Lita recalls her first impression of The Beast Incarnate

In a clip from season 2 Episode 8 of the show ‘WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures’ on A&E Cable TV network, Lita revealed her impression of The Beast Incarnate. The episode was dedicated to the unrecorded amateur wrestling match between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar.
In the video, Former WWE Women’s Champion Lita said “Brock Lesnar is known as the Beast Incarnate. He is huge and skyrocketed just as fast as Kurt Angle did upon making his transition from amateur wrestling to professional wrestling.”
Just like everyone else in the WWE, Lita was in awe of Lesnar’s physique and athleticism. She praised Lesnar for his rapid rise which was very similar to that of Kurt Angle. Both superstars are known for their quick transition from amateur wrestling to professional wrestling.

The premise of the episode is based on the first interaction between Angle and Lesnar. Since both wrestlers had a similar background in wrestling, a real encounter was inevitable. Kurt said “We had an incident the first time I met him. Somebody came up to him and said, Hey how do you think you would do against Kurt Angle in a real match? He said ‘I’d kick his butt’.”

Though Lesnar gave reasons to avoid any confrontation behind the camera, Angle eventually caught him off guard during a pre-show training. The two had a shoot match which was witnessed by other wrestlers including Big Show. As per Angle, he won the match, he said “And, you know, did I beat him? Yes, but it wasn’t by very much.”

Throughout the episode, Angle had huge praise for the NCAA champion and considers, Lesnar an Olympic team material. It was proven correct when Lesnar became the UFC heavyweight champion.
