‘He Is Desperate’: 16x World Champion John Cena Called a Flop by The Rock’s Latest Foe Just Days Ahead of His Return

This week’s SmackDown episode will be extra special as John Cena is set to make a return to WWE TV. Certainly, the WWE Universe can’t hold their excitement as they will soon see the part-timer wrestler appearing inside the squared circle again.

However, there is one person who is more excited than anyone else to see Cena return to WWE this week. The person in question here is none other than Grayson Waller. Cena insulted him in London in July and it looks like Waller is looking for some payback. He has already made his first shot at the 16-time world champion.

Grayson Waller calls John Cena desperate

In less than four days, Cena will make his return to SmackDown at The Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Before his grand arrival at his old home, Waller – who has had a beef with Cena as well as Dwayne Johnson for a while now – made sure to take his first shot on ‘The Champ’. Waller couldn’t get a reaction out of The Rock and thus has shifted his focus to Cena now.

Going to his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, he called Cena desperate and stated that the Hollywood actor wants a Waller rub from him. He indirectly pointed out that this is the reason he is returning to the Stamford-based promotion on Friday this week.

Waller’s previous encounter with the wrestler-turned-actor has not been so good. So is it wise of him to poke the bear once again?

Cena humiliated Waller at Money in the Bank

At the Money in the Bank premium live event which took place in July this year, Cena made a return to greet the UK fans. The O2 Arena went wild when the fans saw the unexpected appearance of ‘The Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect Soldier.’

He entered the ring and advocated that WrestleMania should take place in London in the future. A few moments later, Waller interrupted him. He insulted the London fans and Cena, meanwhile claiming that ‘The Showcase of Immortals’ should be held in Australia (his home country) instead.

He then tried to attack Cena but failed. The latter contracted and delivered an Attitude Adjustment on him instead. Surely, Waller hasn’t forgotten the ultimate insult ‘Mr. P’ handed him in London. That is why, after hearing Cena’s return news, he started to use his antics to get under his nemesis’s skin.

For those unaware, this time Cena’s return is going to be different from his other returns that the fans witnessed in the past. This is because, with an ongoing strike in Hollywood, ‘The Prototype’ will stay a little longer in WWE.
