WWE is infamous for not pushing deserving talents up the card. There have been many occasions when talents like Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan had been stuck in the mid-card, only for a strong fan reaction to push them up to the top spot. Now, WWE is stuck with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at the top of the table, with many talents not getting enough opportunity to shine.

In the recent episode of his Podcast ‘The Kurt Angle Show’, former WWE Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle spoke to his co-host Paul Bromwell on the same issue. Angle did not shy away from showing his disappointment over the way WWE has handled a former Universal Champion.

Angle said, “Well, you know what? It would’ve been nice if they would’ve given him [Balor] this world title. You know, I think he’s really over, incredibly athletic. He has a lot of charisma.” Angle was referring to the Summer Slam match between Rollins and Balor.

Angle expressed his disappointment with the way WWE creative has handled Balor. He started strongly after being the first Universal Champion beating Seth Rollins in 2016 but has lost all his other matches for the WWE title.

Angle further warned WWE by saying, “This kid, you know, if WWE doesn’t end up doing something with him, that’s dramatic. I wouldn’t blame him if he went off and went somewhere else.” Balor has been a part of NJPW earlier, so it is not too difficult for him to approach other promotions and find a place for his talents.

During the podcast Angle was full of praise for Finn Balor’s talent and charisma. He said, “I don’t wanna see him do that because I love the WWE, and I think he’s a good fit for them, but they need to start putting this kid over. He deserves it. They’re over [Judgment Day]. They’re still over without Edge.

WWE Hall of Famer appreciated the work of The Judgement Day stable without Edge’s (original member) presence. He also expressed his desire to have Balor in the WWE and feels Balor is a good fit for their style. According to Angle, Balor deserves the push to the top again.

Going ahead, Rollins might start a feud with a heel Nakamura, while Balor might have a storyline with Damian Priest. So, Balor might have to wait for another WWE title. What do you think of Balor’s future in the WWE?
