The entire wrestling fraternity recently plunged into sadness after the tragic deaths of Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk. Wyatt’s death came as shocking news, and WWE decided to cancel all of their current plans for WWE SmackDown, and instead turn into a tribute show for Wyatt, and Funk.

The main event of the show saw, two classic rivals of Wyatt face each other. Finn Balor and LA Knight came face to face against each other on the main event of the latest episode of WWE SmackDown. However, before their match could begin, Knight had some special words reserved for Wyatt.

What did LA Knight claim during his words of respect for Bray Wyatt?

One of the most beloved and popular superstars on the roster, Bray Wyatt had an interesting career. Rising up from the ranks of in NXT to the main roster, Wyatt had several iconic feuds throughout this tenure.

However, his revamped gimmick of The Fiend began his first feud with Finn Balor on the roster, while Wyatt’s final feud before his tragic death came against LA Knight. Prior to his bout against Balor, LA Knight would take center stage, and pay his respect to Wyatt.

He said, ” Let me just go on and be honest about this, Bray Wyatt and I, we went through hell. That guy did everything imaginable to me and I did everything I could back to him. ” However, Knight would dig out the main purpose behind Wyatt pushing Knight to his limit.

The former Million-Dollar Champion claimed, “And through that, you know what he was doing? He was getting me ready for anything.” He further said, “I walked out here in the building tonight and saw here everybody representing with the fireflies and it just got me thinking, it got me thinking bank in my mind that sometimes your greatest foes can turn out to be your greatest helpers.”

Knight also said, “Bray and I endured challenging times together, and he brought a lot of hardship into my life. Yet, his actions ultimately prepared me for any challenges that came my way.” LA Knight kept the veil of kayfabe referring to hardships he faced from Wyatt during their storyline feud earlier this year.

Knight would conclude by stating his real feelings for Wyatt, ” I ain’t gonna come out here and act like he and I were best friends but I will repeat that exact sentiment. Thank you Bray!”

LA Knight holds the honor of being the final opponent for Bray Wyatt, and decided to pay his respects to ‘The Eater of the Worlds’.
