Paul successfully defended his US Champion title against Owens via disqualification at Royal Rumble. He met The Prizefighter again on SmackDown last week during a grudge match between Randy Orton and Grayson Waller. When Paul tried to turn on The Viper following his victory, Kevin Owens interfered in the feud to safeguard Orton in the face of the attack. It led Nick Aldis to add a massive triple threat match to the WrestleMania 40 card, where Paul will put his US title on the line against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. To add to the heat, the social media influencer cut a distinctive social media promo, praising Owens for his antic and comparing it to a boxing legend’s move.
