There aren’t many times that fans are against the creative decisions from Triple H. Instead, Triple H has been getting praise for the matches in WWE recently. So, when Gunther and Chad Gable’s Intercontinental title match started off hot, it was a blast for fans. With fierce chops and exciting wrestling mat moves, both wrestlers were putting on a clinic.

But even with a great showing from both the stars, the ending left a sour taste in fans’ mouths. The match abruptly ended in a count-out finish that got fans puzzled about the match’s placement here.

Twitter is a hot ground whenever wrestling fans want to express their confusion or disappointment for any match, and this wasn’t any different. Not only did they question the ending of the match, but they also questioned why WWE decided to book it tonight.

But there’s another aspect of this feud that might end up with Gunther losing more than just his title. From backstage segments and the chemistry involving the Imperium, we can also see that Gunther could lose the support of his faction as well. Not only did Giovanni Vinci say he’ll do something in te backstage segment, Gunther was furious about the entire ordeal. Could this be the end for Imperium?

Following his count-out victory, this fan is disappointed because WWE ruined a great match in their eyes.

Count-out victories are looked down upon so much that this fan doesn’t think Gable should be celebrating it.

Many fans hate the count-out victory model.

Even though this fan agrees that it was a great match, they also agree that coun-outs will never be an ideal way to end a match.

Many fans thought Gab;e was finally going to win a title in WWE.

The fact that the ending was a count-out didn’t jive with the audience.

While the title match might happen once again at Payback, the damage was already done tonight. If Triple H had waited to let this match cook, it might’ve delivered with twice the energy at the PLE itself.
