CM Punk reappeared before the WWE crowd on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw held in his hometown, Chicago. In addition to making a promo, he had a verbal dispute with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre. The two wrestlers will face each other at WrestleMania XL in a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
And boy oh boy, what a segment it was. The impromptu unscripted promo caught everyone’s attention. And it is still grabbing the eyes of the fans as one recently caught CM Punk making a hypocritical claim in the verbal battle.

In the latest edition of RAW, CM Punk had an exchange of words with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins that defined his role at WrestleMania XL. But during the promo that revealed his upcoming role as a commentator, the three superstars went above and beyond to prove their superiority. Punk called out McIntyre by saying “I ain’t ever have to put another man’s name on a T-shirt to sell it.” This was a reference to McIntyre mocking Punk by wearing merch that mentions how he injured the latter. But unfortunately for the former AEW star, he too has done the same as caught on Twitter. A user shared a photo of CM Punk from his days when he was the leader of the Straight Edge Society, and the T-shirt he wore read, “I broke Big Show’s Hand.”

The faction featuring Joey Mercury, Luke Gallows, and Serena did not last a year. But the team was still impactful enough that Punk surely cannot forget about it. After a critically acclaimed feud with Rey Mysterio, Punk feuded with Big Show where the stable crushed Show’s hand repeatedly on the steel steps. It was also the last feud that the group engaged in. So either Punk knew he was lying or maybe this stint of the stable evaded his mind. But we also need to factor in the fact that the t-shirt was never up for sale as pointed out by fans.
Fans come to the defense of The Second City Saint
As soon as the tweet made rounds of the internet, fans from around the world came out in Punk’s defense. Claiming that CM Punk did not make money off someone’s name as the t-shirt was never up for sale. Here are some of the tweets:

This fan revealed that PWTees never sold the Big Show merch.
This shirt is why @PWTees is a thing. It was never sold, just made for this show. At least that is how the story was told.

Another fan defended Punk but praised the picture.

Another fan reminded the internet of the same.
He never said that he hadn't put a man's name on a shirt, he said he never did it to sell it…
