There is no need to introduce the Samoan fighters to WWE or professional wrestling. If you’re a fan of wrestling, you hear Dwayne The Rock Johnson making a thrilling spot, feel the scary presence of Samoa Joe, or see Roman Reigns hit the Superman Punch.

As long as anybody can remember, the Anoa’i family wrestlers have been a staple of WWE television, from the tag team Afa and Sika Anoa’i to the reign of The Tribal Chief.

The Anoa’i family left their mark on professional wrestling, mainly in WWE worldwide. The Rock, Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Nia Jax are currently some of the most well-known members on the WWE roster. Let us undertake an in-depth study of the Anoa’i family tree.

Roman Reigns: Most awarded wrestler and greatest attraction

Roman Reigns (Leati Joseph “Joe” Anoa’i) has been the face of WWE since 2014. At first, he got some unwanted attention from the WWE Universe, but he earned their respect and has been doing an excellent job as The Big Dog of the company.

The Rock: The best & most electrifying Samoan fighter ever

The Rock, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, is one of the best pro wrestlers ever. He made his WWF debut as Rocky Maivia on Monday Night Raw on November 4, 1996. He didn’t do well as a face, so he turned heel and joined The Nation of Domination in August 1997.

Not long after that, Rocky Maivia changed the face of professional wrestling forever by becoming “The Rock,” the most electrifying man in the sport.

Yokozuna: First Samoan WWF World Heavyweight Champion

With the name Yokozuna, Rodney Agatupu Anoa’i fought as a sumo winner for Japan. Mr. Fuji was in charge of Yokozuna when he debuted on Superstars on October 31, 1992. He won the 1993 Royal Rumble and was a 2-time WWF Team Champion and a two-time WWF World Heavyweight Champion.

He was also the first winner of the Royal Rumble to get a World Championship battle at WrestleMania.
