The Rock is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars the WWE has ever produced. His appearance in the WWE, even today, receives a thunderous pop. With the fame and popularity of this level, there are bound to be fans in the military. Being a man of the people, Johnson loves visiting his fans, both children and even military adults.

In 2016, Johnson hosted an epic event for 50,000 service men and women. Titled ‘Rock the Troops,’ the event featured celebrity musical acts and entertainers. The Hollywood star hosted the event, which took place at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii.

Taking place on the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks, the event was funded by Johnson’s own Seven Bucks Productions. The event was right around the holiday season, with several celebrities showing up. The names included Jack Black, Keegan Michael-Key, former Marine-turned-actor Rob Riggle, Scott Eastwood, Terry Crews, and Kevin Hart.

This year, he visited the Pentagon on November 15. He met with U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy A. George. Sen. Jon Tester said, “Johnson is going to advocate for people to join the military over a period of time.” This would help boost requirements after the army fell short of its goal two years in a row. This could be the first step Johnson takes in his bid to aspire for bigger and better things in the future.

The Rock’s potential presidential run

As mentioned earlier, The Rock has talked about running for president before giving valid reasons why he did not. He mainly cited the vast commitment of time it would take to fulfill his duties as the reason not to pursue his political ambitions. However, during an interview with the Today’s Show, he had a different answer. When asked about the possibility, he did not say no but rather gave his life mottos which included giving back to the people.

This led fans and even the interviewer to believe that there could be a possibility in the future. Even Johnson himself acknowledged that he didn’t deny running for president.
