Wrestling fans expressed their shock when Rhodes took to social media to announce an open challenge for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles. Rhodes wrote, “This week, a great RAW, a historic NXT…And no better way to close out the week than with a visit for the season premiere of #SmackDown Open challenge.” Here is the list of possible contenders who could answer that challenge.

The Street Profits with Bobby Lashley: The trio of The Street Profits and Bobby Lashley faced The Latino World Order at Fastlane but could not pick up the win. Despite claiming to be the most dominant group, they have yet to prove it. Winning the Tag Team belts could be a way to do so.

Santos Escobar and Carlito/Rey Mysterio: Escobar and either Carlito or Mysterio could accept the challenge for the Tag Team gold. Mysterio is already the United States Champion, so it could be Carlito and Escobar. He was recently hired by SmackDown and appeared at Fastlane to help out the LWO. This could set LWO with two title wins.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller: Apart from getting beaten up by legends of the WWE, neither man has anything significant going on. The two heels could be the best group to face against the most over duo in SmackDown.

Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa: This is an obvious choice, as The Bloodline has unfinished business with Jey and Rhodes. This could be the most interesting as The Bloodline recently formed an alliance with The Judgment Day. This could also prompt a save by John Cena and LA Knight.
