When you work with someone, it might be a good idea to befriend them. A couple of inside jokes could go a long way in strengthening bonds. A major perk of having ‘inside jokes’ with someone is that you can have a good laugh, thinking about it even years later. Michael Cole also has a memory that he can laugh about to this day along with his former colleague, Road Dogg.

Dogg hosts his own podcast by the name, ‘Oh… You Didn’t Know?’ In a recent episode, he sat down with his co-host and recalled a time when he played a prank on a newly joined Michael Cole. The former wrestler also showed remorse for teasing Cole back then.

During his days as a member of D Generation X, Dogg used to work with Billy Gunn on the team. By the sound of it, we can only assume how much fun the two used to have together. In the recent podcast, the DX member recalled a time when members of the DX team were hired for an advertisement.

Dogg and Gunn, along with more colleagues, were to feature in an ad for a Super Soaker. This was back when Michael Cole had recently joined WWE as an employee. Though Cole was fortunate enough to be in the ad, little was he aware of the prank that was going to be pulled on him.

When the production crew got everything ready, they discouraged the DX members from doing one thing. They asked them to douse Cole all they wanted but spare his face, as they did not have any changes planned for that scenario.

However, both Billy Gunn and Road Dogg found this idea tempting and decided to go ahead with it. “We were six feet away from him tops and we both just doused him,” recalled Dogg about the incident.

Although Dogg still laughs upon recalling the incident, he is also a bit apologetic. Dogg commented on the prank in his podcast, saying, “It was horribly mean and very degenerative.” He further added, “We were the last of a dying breed. And maybe there’s a reason that attitude was hot for a brief minute, and then it was not for a brief minute.

Since Dogg was at his peak at that time, he considered it okay to prank a newbie such as Cole. It’s a memory that all three of the involved stars still laugh about. However, the former wrestler seems to regret being ‘mean’ to the WWE commentator.
