Former 2-Time WWE Women’s Champion Hopes for a Classic Match Against Training Partner From NJPW, Days After Rhea Ripley Crushed Her on Raw

Fair play is a treat to sore eyes. Observing a few athletes cooperating in the spirit of a pure sportsperson is delightful. We recently witnessed something similar stirring between two female wrestlers segregated by promotions. Here, we are about to look at the sports spirit presented by Rhea Ripley‘s recent rival Natalya Neidhart and the Japanese wrestler Miyu Yamashita.

Although neither of the wrestlers has crossed paths before, what Neidhart said about her Japanese friend might melt your heart away. It all started with Yamashita’s statement for Neidhart in an interview, leading to the latter’s sweet reaction on Twitter. However, fans would be shocked to note that she also challenged Yamashita at the end of her message.

A reporter recently sat down to interview the female TJPW wrestler and uploaded a few of her answers online. In one statement, Yamashita confessed, “Training with her was special. I have watched her matches before and know what a great wrestler she is. I definitely learned a lot from her.” This was a call back to the training session the duo had at the start of June 2023.

When Neidhart saw this tweet, she couldn’t help but reply to her friend.

“Loved learning from you, too, Miyu. Looking forward to a match with you one day soon,” replied Natty, placing a heart emoji at the end of her tweet. Even though she called out Miyu for a match, this doesn’t necessarily foreshadow any rivalry. Fans could also see the two in a friendly match sometime soon if things work out for both of them.

Despite the intense-looking training the two had, Nat seemingly wasn’t prepared for what was coming for her on Monday Night Raw.

It all seems to have begun with the Night of Champions 2023. Natalya faced Ripley in a match to snatch away her title. However, little did she know that Mami would destroy her within merely 69 seconds. This also triggered a rivalry between the two. So much so that Nat even wanted to face her again a few weeks later. When Neidhart appeared to take on Mami during Raw 06/19, the latter ‘crushed’ the former with her ‘Riptide’ after destroying her using whatever she found in her surroundings.

This happened during Neidhart’s entrance. So, the match technically never took place, but the current women’s champion was able to successfully send her threatening message to all the female wrestlers in WWE.

It looks like a training session with Miyu Yamashita did not do much to protect Neidhart against the lady of The Judgment Day.
