Five Years Before Being Struck by Serious Health Scare, Jamie Foxx Offered His Services to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson for a Patriotic Mission

Dwayne Johnson can do anything, can’t he? From selling out wrestling arenas to delivering blockbuster films to finding massive success in business, Johnson is a complete package through and through. At one point, fans thought Johnson could run for President of the United States of America. 

And why not? Johnson is equipped with leadership skills. Not to mention, he has a soft side for the people. The People’s Champ was once asked to imagine himself as the President of the US by popular American actor and singer, Jamie Foxx.

Dwayne Johnson is unmistakably one of the most likable celebrities on the planet. Fans have gotten to know The Rock better behind the scenes, on talk shows. That said, he once made an appearance on OFF SCRIPT with Jamie Foxx. 

At one point during the show, Foxx brought up one of the most talked-about topics on the internet at the time- The idea of Dwayne Johnson running for President of the United States of America. Foxx then joked that Johnson was running for President and he(Foxx) was the ambassador for the after-party. 

Johnson guffawed when Foxx stated that Johnson would be the type of President that would drop over in Afghanistan and “kick as*”. He said, “He’s running for president. I am the ambassador of the after-party. And, I know this is crazy, but you could be president and then drop over in Afghanistan and kick as* at the same time. Wouldn’t that be crazy? To see The Rock, ‘President Johnson has just jumped out of his own Air Force One. We thought the other guy was crazy’. You’d be in the helicopter with your suit and then just fu**ing this.”

With all the success Dwayne Johnson’s had in showbiz and business, it’s safe to bet that he can do just about anything he sets his mind to. Johnson’s key weapon to having success in life is discipline. 

Further during the interview, Jamie Foxx asked Johnson if the latter would consider running for The President in all seriousness. The Great One said, “I would consider it, Yes!”

Johnson then said that if he ever gets the chance, he would burn the midnight oil, learning more about what the job entails. He also added that he recognizes how hard it is to be in a position of power.
