“First Chairwoman of Pro Football”: Dwayne Johnson Endorses His Ex-Wife Dany Garcia as She Finally Gets the Exposure She Deserves

Dwayne Johnson wanted to be a pro footballer before he turned towards wrestling. However, after achieving success in pro wrestling and then Hollywood, Johnson returned to football as an owner of XFL. Supporting him throughout his difficult journey is his ex-wife Dany Garcia. She is an integral part of Johnson’s various ventures and a close friend of The Rock, despite the two separating.

On October 4th, Dwayne Johnson took to X to share a promo clip of ESPN’s new show based on his ex-wife Dany Garcia. He re-shared a tweet from Dany Garcia along with a few words of appreciation for her.

The Rock took over XFL, a sinking venture of Vince McMahon’s, in 2020 for $15 million. Joining him in this venture were RedBird Capital, Disney, and Dany Garcia. Other than being an investor, Johnson also works as the primary endorser of the league while his ex-wife Dany Garcia works as the chairwoman.

His tweet read, “Gotta say watching this was very surreal. So cool to see the progress and growth from @DanyGarciaCo over the years throughout many industries. (and becoming one of my top advisors). Relentless hard work to becoming the first chairwoman of pro football in @XFL2023. Check it out tomorrow on @ESPN, I think you’ll really enjoy it and may pull some inspiration & cool perspective from it. Tomorrow 7AM ET @ESPN 📺”

Rock’s tweet came along with Dany Garcia’s tweet where she proudly shared her happiness over ESPN’s coverage. Rock appreciated Dany Garcia for being his top advisor and deservedly receiving the spotlight through ESPN

He even congratulated her on becoming the first chairwoman of pro football with XFL. The show will be telecast on ESPN network on October 5th and will premiere at 7 AM ET.

As per Garcia’s tweet, the show will provide a sneak peek into her life as a top executive, her origin, and the breadth of her universe, where, as she says, “adding colorful context to the many hats I wear.” She was ecstatic about sharing a BTS shot from the show.

Garcia is a film producer and businesswoman. As per the teaser, the show will feature a few snippets from The Rock and Ava Raine (Dany Garcia’s daughter), who is a part of NXT 2.0.
