As one of WWE’s leading villains, Drew McIntyre has relentlessly mocked CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Following what transpired, the former WWE Champion cheered on Cody Rhodes after WrestleMania 40 Kickoff chaos against Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns. Though cheered is a loose term, considering he did so in his usual heel way.

Drew McIntyre opens up on the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event

After Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes’s confrontation at the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event in Las Vegas—during which Rhodes canceled Reigns’ plan against The Rock, Drew McIntyre offered his opinion on the subject. McIntyre broke his silence over the incident inside the T-Mobile Arena by posting a video to his social media. 

He stated, “Shall we talk about that press conference then? Rock, Roman, Cody, was Seth there? I can’t remember. No no, he was there. Now before I get to Seth, and I will get to Seth, let’s talk about Cody. Well done,” McIntyre started. “You finally found your balls and made the right call — good for you. It just took some McIntyre truth bombs and beating your a** on Monday for playing games with everybody but you go and finish that story kid! Congratulations.”

Following this, McIntyre addressed Seth Rollins, also at the kickoff event. He began to subtly poke fun at Reigns until the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion cut him off and continued his criticisms from last week’s SmackDown.

As expected, WWE’s press event was impressive – full of drama and high stress. As WrestleMania 40 got underway at T-Mobile Arena, chaos, involving Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and The Rock, exploded on stage. Additionally, he chose Roman Reigns as his opponent for WrestleMania 40.

During the occasion, Seth Rollins ripped into The Rock, making it apparent that he couldn’t care less about his position on the TKO Board of Directors. Even though Seth Rollins was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns would proceed to hit back at him throughout the night. Because Rollins allowed Reigns to walk all over him during the event, McIntyre criticized his title and took a dig at him.

The Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event is less than three weeks away, so we’ll have to wait and see how WWE intends to book Drew McIntyre in the following weeks.
