Rhea Ripley’s dominance has been increasing daily since winning the title at WrestleMania 39. In the year 2023 itself, she defeated so many tough adversaries, like Natalya, and Raquel Rodriguez during her reign.

So far, nobody is certain about the woman who could defeat her, but it is Sasha Banks’ best friend who is confident about the triumph. Yes, the recent episode of SmackDown might have hinted at a prospective feud. But who was that lady? And what is this story all about?

The former hugger had ‘two words’ for Mami

Rhea Ripley might have found a WrestleMania 40 opponent, and the wrestler in question is Bayley. Well, the former women’s champion recently called herself “Mami Slayer”. During the women’s tag team match between Katana Chance and Kayden Carter vs. Unholy Union, Bayley, Asuka, and Kairi Sane were sitting at the ringside.

Interestingly, the 34-year-old wore Rhea Ripley’s t-shirt and even called herself her slayer at the ringside. This could give us an idea of how WWE could cook this feud that might be served at the 40th edition of Mania. FYI, Sane and Asuka were there to challenge the victor of the tag title match further. But how can be a storyline between Bayley and Ripley formed?

Bayley vs Rhea Ripley’s Road to Wrestlemania

Ever since Kairi Sane returned and joined the Damage Ctrl, Bayley’s exclusion from the faction is what has been expected. The story revolves around the history between the former women’s champion and Sane. Just to let you know, Bayley was the same woman who almost ended the career of Sane in the summer of 2020, as she came back after nearly 3 years.

Given their past, Sane might have joined the faction to turn on Bayley; moreover, she could influence the other women to exclude her from the group. In the last few weeks, we have also seen some friction between Bayley and Dakota Kai. And while that storyline is expected to be finished, this would most likely leave Bayley without a group, freeing her up to face Ripley for the Women’s title at Wrestlemania 40.
