Former WWE superstar John Cena is one of the most influential personalities in the current world. Apart from his work in WWE and Hollywood, Cena is also one of the most charitable persons and holds the record for fulfilling most wishes for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

57-year-old WWE legend, Paul Heyman recently opened up on a podcast about his WWE career, his time with Roman Reigns, and former foe John Cena. However, despite being former enemies with Cena, Heyman spoke highly of him and placed him higher than popular Marvel and DC superheroes.

What did Paul Heyman claim while comparing John Cena with Spiderman and other superheroes?

Speaking on the Tetragrammaton podcast, Heyman heaped praises on The Leader of Cenation. He would claim on the podcast, how sees Cena as a hero, and has an immense amount of respect for him. Heyman continued praising Cena and even stated how he would have his grandchildren see Cena as their hero, and not comic-book heroes such as Spiderman and Superman.

The 57-year-old said, “John Cena to me is a real-life hero. He is a superhero. When I become a grandparent one day if I’m asked what my grandchildren should watch it’s not read comic books or whatever it’ll not be watch Superman, or Batman, or Spiderman, or Incredible Hulk.”

He further continued, “What’s your superhero? Go with what John Cena did with his life outside of the ring. That man’s a superhero. I don’t have the words to convey beyond narration for John Cena as a human being.” Heyman compared Cena with superheroes because of his contribution to charity, and Make-A-Wish campaigns.

Heyman is one of the most respected minds in the world of pro wrestling, and having such compliments from him is itself a huge achievement. Over the years, Cena has devoted several hours of his to charity, and Heyman was incredibly proud of him.

Will John Cena return to WWE before SummerSlam 2023?

John Cena last appeared at WrestleMania 39, where he lost in a match against Austin Theory. Ever since then, Cena has been missing from action in the company. His latest film Fast X recently came out which also saw the return of Dwayne Johnson to the franchise.

His next venture, ‘Hidden Strike’ is slated to release later this year or early next year, and has the fans already excited. Cena will pair up with Jackie Chan, and his return to WWE SummerSlam 2023 seems unlikely. But with WWE nothing can be guaranteed, and fans still have a ray of hope for Cena to return.
