Drew McIntyre recently jetted off to India to be a part of the WWE Superstar Spectacle this Friday. The Scottish Psychopath blew away a sold-out crowd in Hyderabad making a surprise entry to the ring to help the Sami Zayn-Kevin Owens duo and ended up cinching the win. It’s safe to say that everything went very smoothly for the Raw star in the Asian subcontinent. However, it’s a different picture for his current position inside WWE.

Mclntyre is currently in between an exciting storyline with The New Day and The Viking Raiders. His newly formed tag team with Matt Riddle faced The Raiders on the latest episode of Raw but couldn’t stand tall due to a sudden interference by Kofi Kingston. Fans smelled an air of tension between the two pairs ever since and they are seemingly not wrong.

McIntyre and Riddle, and The New Day butted heads during a Raw episode three weeks ago. The New Day prevailed over the two after a hard-fought match.

Things were intensified between the two tag team duos at last week’s Raw. When McIntyre and Riddle tried to teach a lesson to The Viking Raiders, Kofi Kingston didn’t let them succeed. Kingston appeared out of nowhere in the closing moments of the match and hit McIntyre with a Trouble in Paradise. It allowed The Raiders to send Riddle backside with a fatal Ragnarok and scored the win. McIntyre looked clearly frustrated as he shot a death stare to The New Day member.

Now, during a recent exclusive interview, the Scottish star finally gave some insight regarding what is really cooking between him and Kingston. Referring to that controversial segment, the wrestler admitted it was an accident, and he’s not mad at him for that. ”Nothing is going on, we’re buddied. But then, for some reason, he was able to kick my partner in the face. Yeah, I saw the tape back and I do understand that he ran down and tried to help, but in that moment, my head didn’t pop up until I saw him kick Riddle in the face, so I missed the part where he was trying to help, so I was very upset on Raw,” McIntyre noted.

However, McIntyre admitted that he doesn’t believe that the incident was a complete accident. “Maybe it was an accident on reviewing the footage, but at the same time, there’s a big coincidence that one week prior I accidentally hit his partner with a chair and suddenly he’s running out kicking my partner in the face, so. You know, it’s a little heated right now…so yeah, things are getting a bit tense in the world of Drew McIntyre,” he said.
