Izzy Moreno is currently one of the highest-grossing pro wrestling superstars in the independent circuit. The young sensation made her debut just a few months back and gained fame for her versatility, as well as her love for Bayley. While many wondered why Moreno specifically looked up to Bayley, a highly potent reason for it just came out of the bag.

Speaking to EssentiallySports in an exclusive interview, the 16-year-old gave a detailed account of the secret role her inspiration had in her wrestling debut.

When Bayley asked for the address of Izzy Moreno 

Sharing the ring with her role model Bayley was a dream come true for Izzy Moreno. Little did she know that she would get to revisit her happy place another time in the most unexpected ways. Speaking exclusively with EssentiallySports, Moreno said, “ She sent me this message on Twitter randomly, and she’s like, hey, I want to send you something. What’s your address?” The 16-year-old promptly shared her address details with the WWE Superstar.

Moreno further added, “She’s like, I don’t want to have time to ship it, but, like, just be on the lookout. And I was like, yeah, yeah. And so, like, months went by, and I didn’t get anything.” However, her wait soon came to an end when Bayley apologized for the delay and she received a package in her mail.

The 16-year-old noted, “It was actually the gear that she wore when me and her went into the ring together… And I was like, oh, my God. And she wrote this super nice letter, and I was like, holy c**p.” Many thought that Izzy Moreno had just designed her outfit after being inspired by Bayley. 

Moreno was ringside for Bayley’s title defense against Banks at NXT TakeOver: Respect in 2015 and she made her in-ring debut on August 12 this year for Mission Pro Wrestling. Bayley gifted her the same outfit she was wearing during the 2015 match.

The outfit she received from her favorite pro wrestler became the basis of her debut outfit. Although this was enough to make a happy core memory for her, she received another great gift almost immediately after receiving her new Bayley-core outfit.

When Moreno’s role model appeared before her out of nowhere

Continuing her happy story, Moreno said, “So I got the gear, and then I ran into her at NXT one time. We were standing in line, waiting to go inside, and I saw this, like, car drive by. And it just stopped, and she got out. And I was like, oh, my God, and she’s like, hey.” The reunion with Bayley felt like her joyride coming to a full circle.

The 16-year-old revealed that she hung out with Bayley and they both enjoyed a conversation. The pro wrestling duo also clicked a picture together before calling it a day. Interestingly, this wasn’t the end of her interaction with Bayley, who also commented on Moreno’s post when she revealed her gear. 

With these incredible memories, Izzy Moreno would look forward to walking in the footsteps of her role model and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with her one day.
