Tony Khan’s helmed promotion saw a bunch of former WWE stars resuming their dance in the AEW ring in the past few years. This barely came as a surprise to anybody as Khan always plays big on his business moves and is a crackerjack in welcoming new talents (especially those who came with a WWE tag) to the roster. But despite that, every time the news of any former WWE starlet teasing debut in the rival promotion gets people jabbering for the right reasons. This time, Hall of Famer Edge is the new bee who’s creating the buzz in the same vein.
With The Rated R superstar inching closer to reportedly the final match of his WWE career on this week’s SmackDown, many wonders what will be an ensuing step for the 49-year-old. ‘FTR’ Dax Harwood seemingly has the answer.

Edge achieved every bit of success between the ropes throughout his storied wrestling career. From being a Ruthless era icon to winning multiple world championship belts, the veteran cemented his legacy as a distinguished product in the company’s history. Now, WWE rightly picked his 25th year anniversary as a perfect occasion to pay homage to the bigwig on this week’s blue brand show that will emanate from his hometown of Toronto. Lately, there have also been talks about the high chance of Edge marking the end of his illustrious WWE stint on the same day following his scheduled bout against Sheamus.
With that information swirling over the internet, another notion that people have been widely popularizing is Edge jumping ship to AEW.
Now, the unlikely rumor edges closer to coming to reality due to the current AEW tag team champions FTR. Dax Harwood, one half of the marquee tag team, snapped a picture with Edge and his wife Beth Phoenix and posted that on social media.
