Brock Lesnar is one of the most high octane wrestlers in the world and will have a match with any WWE superstar the company thinks will make money. But having a match with the 10-time world champion isn’t the preferred cup of tea for everyone. He is one of the toughest and strongest athletes in WWE who has slayed giants easily. However, a former WWE superstar recalled his match with The Beast Incarnate recently.

The former star isn’t a giant like Big Show and The Undertaker whom Lesnar slayed several times. He is a cruiserweight and recalled his experience taking the F5 from the Beast Incarnate.

Former WWE star says Brock Lesnar ‘slaughtered’ him

The one-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Paul London, recently gave an interview on Wrestling Then and Now. He recalled once having a match with Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship on an episode of SmackDown.

London said, “It was a slaughter. It was a slaughter. I mean he’s easily one of the strongest people, most powerful people I’ve ever been in the ring with, ever met really anywhere. And when he got me up for that F5, that was like, I felt like Dorothy, you know, I was in a tornado.”

The former WWE Tag Team Champion said, “I mean, I had no my whereabouts, I was just, sense of direction was out the window. So, I was a little discombobulated after that.”

This match against The Conqueror was his televised debut on SmackDown. The 43-year-old and Lesnar then continued their feud for some time on the blue brand until Brian Kendrick saved London and they formed a team.

The former 3-time tag team champion was in OVW for roughly around two months before signing a WWE contract. Hence, this was a tremendous opportunity for London on the main roster against Lesnar on his debut.

Paul London waited for Lesnar to approach him to discuss the match

The match against Lesnar on SmackDown was London’s televised debut in WWE. Hence, when WWE told him they’ll have a match for the WWE title, the 43-year-old didn’t approach The Beast. Instead, he waited so the 3-time Universal Champion would ask him to sell any moves in a unique manner.

He said, “If there’s anything in the suggestions that I feel that I can make look even better suggest that. Because I think it was like they wanted to like clothesline me at the beginning. I was like, ‘well, I can do like kinda 360 out of that,’ ‘Oh really, well do that.”

The former cruiserweight star sold every move over the top. Even WWE punished him for selling a move so good that it took away the spotlight from other stars in the 2005 Royal Rumble.
