This week’s Friday Night extravaganza already seemed a loaded call featuring all the fallout from Royal Rumble 2024 last week. United States Champion Logan Paul kickstarted the show by dishing some solid insults to CM Punk and Seth Rollins only added to the drama.

Logan Paul threw sass at the WWE heavyweights in a cocksure promo

WWE hit the Fox airwaves 6 days after the major PLE, headlined by an appearance from Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Paul received boos from the crowd but continued to flaunt himself as a champion. He called the roster brittle and went on to make fun of CM Punk’s and Seth Rollins’s injuries.

Paul mockingly called out CM Punk’s torn tricep and Seth Rollins’ torn meniscus and the way their WrestleMania dreams were shattered. He told them to shut up, as “everybody gets hurt”.

Logan Paul’s Next Title Challenger To Be Revealed On next week’s WWE SmackDown

In the lead-up to the first Premium Live Event of 2024, Paul called his challenger a slob, a joke and was running high in confidence to knock him out in the first title defense match of the year. He even didn’t expect much challenge out of that advertised match in St. Petersburg. Paul’s claim proved to be true as he walked out with his United States Champions status intact.

He put on a terrific performance to win the match, albeit by DQ. But it begs the obvious question what’s next on the card for The Maverick?

After tonight’s intense Logan Paul promo, it was revealed that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis will announce the next Challenger for Logan Paul’s WWE United States Championship on the February 9 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
