Despite being an ex-member of WWE, Dwayne Johnson still hasn’t forgotten how to make an entrance. The Hollywood star reappeared on SmackDown last night and shook the whole venue. Fans waited a long time for his return, with his last match going back all the way to 2016. So everyone was visibly excited. However, an appearance wasn’t the only thing he was there for. In fact, Johnson had another wrestler to bring down.
The Friday night show saw Pat McAfee getting interrupted by Austin Theory during a promo inside the ring. However, Johnson quickly made his way to the squared circle to humble the 26-year-old SmackDown star. And now, the young wrestler has a few words to say to the WWE legend.

DJ showed up at the September 15 SmackDown episode, only to protect McAfee from Austin Theory. The young wrestler is known to pick feuds with WWE legends. That’s exactly what he did after The Rock climbed inside the squared circle. In turn, Johnson destroyed him on the mic while also giving him a beatdown to humble him. However, the technique might not have worked on Theory as he recently fired back at the WWE legend.
After the assault at the hands of the legendary pro wrestler, Austin Theory took to his X account and tweeted, “You’ll Remember The Name🚀 #AustinTheoryLive.” We can assume that he has not learned his lesson very well. So, it’s possible that DJ might swing by again to deliver a new chapter just for Austin Theory.

If The Brahma Bull had just appeared in WWE to teach the former United States Champion a lesson, it would have disappointed fans. So, the Stamford-based company gave him a much warmer return, hinting at what they might have in store for him.

It is not often that we see the busy Hollywood personality appear in WWE. So, the company may already have him booked for a storyline that could end up at WrestleMania 40. In fact, after his in-ring dispute with Theory, he bumped into an old ‘frenemy’ of his. Upon seeing John Cena backstage, there was visible tension between the two, which was soon overcome as the past rivals held each other in a brotherly embrace.
Wholesomely enough, The Prototype smiled to kill the tension. When Johnson asked him to admit it, he did and then went on to say, “I am [smiling]. Welcome home.” So, although nobody confirmed anything officially, Cena’s words suggest that Johnson is here to stay for longer than we would expect. This leaves plenty of room for potential feuds WWE may get him involved in.
