So what will happen to The Rock? Well, it looks like The Rock and Roman Reigns will be allies from now on. Especially after he slapped babyface Cody Rhodes at the WrestleMania press conference. And this turn to the dark side is surely being embraced by the fans and even by Rock himself.

The Rock recently took to his Instagram to upload a reel where he can be seen backstage from the WrestleMania 40 kickoff stage, and he put the caption, “Enjoy the ride, my friends… ~people’s champ 😈♟️🥃 🎤 @wwe @tkogrp.” This gave off a very familiar vibe as it reminded fans of the ‘heel’ Rock in the WWE.

Fans were quick to get the message and responded positively. In the comment sections, they praised the heel turn. They shared that they had been bored with Johnson being the babyface, and he was at his best when he is the sassy heel. In fact, he did some of his best promos when he was on the dark side. According to Dave Meltzer, “The American Nightmare” could go up against The Rock and ‘The Tribal Chief’ alongside Seth Rollins. February 24, is the date of the Elimination Chamber PLE and will determine who will face the Architect for the World Heavyweight Championship. It can surely be said that the WWE is inching toward Rollins partnering up with Rhodes.

The Architect has been vocal about his criticism of The Brahma Bull for a while now. Seth Rollins, although not chosen by Rhodes, showed understanding towards his decision and acknowledged the rejection that The Rock has faced in recent days from fans. When he spoke to FoxNews about the slapping incident at the press conference, Rollins commented that it is common for the powerful to act in that way, trying to impose their influence. He considers it something unpleasant and annoying. He also referenced that, despite not liking CM Punk, he, too, suffered the same in the past.
