Pro wrestling, as often claimed by people, is not fake, but pre-decided. The outcomes of the matches are well decided prior to the match. However, every other incident that takes place during a match actually takes place and often ends up being scary, or brutal.
Wrestlers often face injury scares during their bouts. As a wrestling move goes wrong, it increases the chances of a wrestler ending up injured and hurt. An old video from a few years ago recently started going viral on Twitter, where an indie wrestler was horribly seen botching an elbow drop. The botched move looked painful and raised the concern of wrestling fans.

The Indie wrestling circuit is often much more brutal and horrifying than the safe settings of WWE. Deathmatches, painful weapon shots, and bloodied faces are a common occurrence in Indie shows. Pro wrestlers often take their matches a step further and perform risky moves in order to get noticed by the big companies.
However, in this case, a few years ago, the IWA Mid-south Wrestling saw a bout between Marcus Everett and Cole Radrick. Fans saw Everett undergoing an ugly and painful botch as he fell from a height of over 18 feet on the hard concrete floor.
Everett would climb up to a ledge and attempt an elbow drop on Radrick laying below on a table. However, he would miss the spot and fall hard on his shoulder on the concrete floor, and lie there lifeless, while the staff checked on him.
This incident resurfaced on the internet and raised the concern of the fans again.

The exact spot displayed the risks and dangers that came associated with pro wrestling. While WWE, NJPW, AEW, and other big promotions are performed under safe conditions, injuries take place there too. Whereas, in the indies, the promotions do not have enough budget to set up such equipment, and wrestlers often risk their lives for such risky maneuvers.
Everett would miss the dive terribly and faced the consequences. Here are some reactions from the fans:
A fan claimed that Everett was under the illusion that this move would take him to WWE. Unfortunately, it seems it did not happen so.
In his head this was the move that was gonna get him to the WWE. pic.twitter.com/LbzW3lP95p

The absolute best part of the this is the guy on the table acting like he was hit, rolling off the table and laying there feigning injury while his mate could be half dead 😭 https://t.co/ASTc1SYmWf

Another fan found humor in this spot and used a pun to describe his feeling.
Concrete hits hard, trust me.

While another fan used a baseball term to justify the entire situation.
Swing and a miss

Another fan on the internet just wanted to know the exact reason why someone would perform something so risky.
Just one question, why ?

Being an Indiana resident these are the events I wish would pop up online for me to see more often

Pro wrestling is a dangerous sport and the wrestlers are susceptible to injuries if not done right. Bookers, promotions, and wrestlers themselves need to maintain their safety and make sure they perform in a safe environment.
Often these injuries take a worse turn and end up bringing a halt to the wrestler’s career. However, despite that ugly fall in 2017, Everett recovered from the incident and pursued a career in pro wrestling.
