WrestleMania XL is just days away and all the WWE Universe can think about right now is Dwayne Johnson. Moreover, the DJ factor has also elevated the unpredictability and the impact of WWE recently. Being a TKO board member has given The Rock an even greater edge, and his manipulation of WrestleMania rules has certainly not been seen ever before.

It is needless to say, Dwayne Johnson has become undeniable. The Rock has effortlessly hijacked all things WWE and WrestleMania and has suddenly become the primary opponent of Cody Rhodes. While Roman Reigns may have an issue with it, seems like he isn’t the only one unhappy with it.

AEW Superstar Mercedes Mone’s best friend Bayley recently appeared for an interview with Alex McCarthy and The Daily Mail. The former leader of Damage CTRL talked about the value given to the WWE Women’s division at WrestleMania XL. Particularly, she made a demand that clearly said she wanted to eat up the space of Dwayne Johnson. Bayley said, “I would never say that the women shouldn’t be main-eventing a WrestleMania, especially at the caliber of Rhea and Becky”.

She continued, “Becky has had an insane career already and Rhea, her rise has been so quick. Fans love her. But she’s still so young. Rhea, you got time to main event WrestleMania some other time, because this year is mine and IYO’s year.” While this showed her confidence, her later sentences saw her demanding an equal spot alongside Dwayne Johnson.

“This year has been the role model’s year, starting at Royal Rumble, OK? And I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I’ve been fighting for this for a long time. Becky’s had her main event spot, so it’s time for the role model, Ding Dong Hello Bayley, to take this main event spot.” noted Bayley. But she wasn’t done. She indirectly demanded that Dwayne Johnson be completely removed from the Main event of WrestleMania XL.

Bayley stated, “You know, we can do that. You never had two women main event both shows at WrestleMania. Why can’t it be this year? It’s the biggest WrestleMania of the year. With all due respect, I would like to take that spot. Rhea, you’re very young.” While her words were directed at Ripley, she stepped into the territory Dwayne Johnson marked for himself.

In fact, the way The Rock has turned everything around, he arguably deserves the WrestleMania XL space he built for himself.

The Dwayne Johnson storm that made everything revolve around him

Dwayne Johnson has brought back something WWE had been missing for a very long time: a traditional and despicable heel. The amount of boos he receives and the way he divides the wrestling fandom has generated tremendous traction. Roman Reigns, who was considered the biggest heel pre-Rock, couldn’t get this reaction.

Moreover, Bayley, who was the leader of a heel faction herself, couldn’t rile up the fans like Dwayne Johnson has. Like she said, women have previously headlined WrestleMania before. While her demand for another main event night for the women is valid, replacing Dwayne Johnson is impossible right now. What are your thoughts about this? Let them flow in the comments.
