We are almost a month away from one of the biggest WrestleMania in the history of WWE, WrestleMania XL. On the road to the flagship PLE, fans have witnessed some exciting moments. But the one that takes the cake is from the 03/08 episode of SmackDown. Dwayne Johnson was slapped by Cody Rhodes after he suggested that Rhodes was a “mistake” by his parents, which obviously hurt Rhodes’ sentiments. While Johnson has donned the heel persona, many people are not scared to call him out and one person even called out the hypocrisy in his statement.

Dwayne Johnson got called out for highlighting Dusty Rhodes’ “mistake”

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), wife of the late AEW star Jon Huber (Brodie Lee), Amanda Huber decided to call out the Brahma Bull for his insensitive statement. Huber, who currently works with AEW as a community outreach coordinator, mentioned that it was bold of him to comment on Cody Rhodes and the age gap he shares with his siblings when Johnson’s own children have a difference of 20 years.

In case you missed it, on the latest episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins paid a visit to the blue brand to accept Johnson’s offer from last week. However, it did not take much time for the two to get into a quarrel. Johnson pointed out that since the American Nightmare is the youngest among his siblings and that he is 20 years younger than them, this makes him a “mistake”.

Rhodes did not take this statement in a good way. He retaliated with a slap, something that fans wanted him to do since the WrestleMania XL Kickoff press event.

While it looks like Johnson is at odds with the American Nightmare, should fans expect a betrayal in the future?

Who’s side is The Rock on?

Fans are still trying to wrap their heads around the idea that Johnson decided to side with Roman Reigns. In case you forgot, the 51-year-old- star had hinted at a possible feud against Roman Reigns when he returned to WWE on Raw Day 1,(01/01/2024). Since then, he has been adamant about facing Reigns. But this sudden change in demeanor left fans asking one question, is a betrayal on the horizon?

This is something that is highly unlikely. The reason is that Johnson has time and time again shared how important the Anoa’i bloodline is to him. Thus, betraying Reigns just to be able to sit at the Head of the Table will be disrespectful. But since we are dealing with the Hollywood Rock, one of the best heels there is, anything is possible.
