While speaking with Forbes, Dwayne Johnson revealed how he was able to successfully aware the masses about his new Tequila brand. The pandemic had left the entire world in dire straits. People lost jobs and their businesses. But Johnson figured out a way to effectively market his brand. And it was with his social media platforms.

Dwayne Johnson is one of the most significant attractions in the world. The Hollywood mogul’s 328 million fan base on Instagram substantiates why he is a globally recognized icon. So, Johnson employed his vast social media followers to spread awareness about Teremana Tequila.

He said, “I have a very powerful tool of social media and I’ve built some trust equity with fans from all over the world. So, my thought was, I’m going to have a drink and see what happens from there…”

Today, Tereman Tequila is one of Johnson’s cash cows. The company recently achieved the milestone of having surpassed the annual sale of 1 million cases. Moreover, Johnson’s brand is one of the few tequila brands with the fastest-moving sales. Some of the notable flavors from the “Spirit of the Earth” brand include Strawberry, Coconut, and Blue Aloha.

The hospitality industry probably took the worst hit during the global pandemic in terms of business. One of America’s largest restaurant chains, Applebee’s was on the brink of bankruptcy. However, lucky for them, Dwayne Johnson helped save the floundering business.

Johnson proposed for his liquor to be sold as a tropical drink through Applebee’s. And the company’s perseverance reinvigorated its business. Had Johnson not approached Applebee’s with his new idea, the company would have suffered a massive loss.

While Johnson’s tequila business continues to grow, his XFL turned out to be a white elephant. But, Dwayne Johnson has a great attitude. He takes his losses positively. Although Johnson lost a whopping $60M from XFL, he is optimistic about its future.
