During the summer of 2020, Dwayne Johnson presented the nation with a tropical drink to beat the heat. Teremana Tequila was the brainchild of Dwayne Johnson alongside Dany Garcia, Ken Austin, and Jenna Fagnan. Recently, Johnson’s company announced a major milestone, having sold one million cases annually.

Teremana Tequila came into existence from the desire to give people a taste of “The Spirit of the Earth”. As noted above, Teremana Tequila achieved a very impressive milestone. And Dwayne Johnson believes the best is yet to come.
While speaking with Forbes, the Hollywood mogul disclosed the vision for his booming company. According to him, the aim is to continue the on-site operations and, simultaneously help internationalize the Teremana Tequila brand. He said, “I think we continue to do what we’re doing here domestically. I think we continue to promote the on-premise side of our business and make it as robust as we can possibly make it. But at the same time run a parallel path to internationalizing the Teremana Tequila brand. To make Teremana a true, global tequila brand.”
At the rate Tereman Tequila is headed on the market, it is proving to be a stable cash cow for Dwayne Johnson. One of the most interesting things about Dwayne Johnson’s Tereman Tequila is that it saved Applebee’s restaurant from bankruptcy during the pandemic.
Dwayne Johnson is a great mix of an entertainer and a shrewd businessman. He leveraged his influence to market his tequila brand amidst Covid 19 pandemic when the world was practically shut.

Further during his interview with Forbes, Johnson revealed how he employed his vast social media following to aware the masses about his company during its inception. At the time when Teremana Tequila was ready to be launched, many businesses were on the verge of going shut. But Dwayne Johnson used the most powerful weapon in his arsenal to go beyond his situational disadvantage.

He said, “I have a very powerful tool of social media and I’ve built some trust equity with fans from all over the world. So, my thought was, I’m going to have a drink and see what happens from there…”
Despite facing hardships from his XFL venture, Dwayne Johnson is enjoying the fruits of success from his tequila company.
