Dwayne Johnson and Stone Cold Steve Austin are two names in WWE who left the promotion too soon. Johnson shifted to Hollywood within a few years after his arrival in the Stamford-based promotion. Meanwhile, Austin had to cut his career short in 2003 due to a severe neck injury.

If fate hadn’t planned all this, then maybe both the wrestlers could have added more accomplishments to their wrestling resume. According to WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker, these two wrestling legends could have become the one to break his WrestleMania streak.

The Undertaker recently started a new podcast, Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, where he talks about his life in wrestling and beyond. On the latest episode of his wrestling podcast, he talked about his WrestleMania streak. He disclosed that he expected his WrestleMania streak to be broken sooner than it did.

Also, he revealed that according to him, Johnson and Austin had the potential to do it but fate had some other plans. He said, “Little did we know that Steve’s career would be cut short. Little did we know that Rock was going to come off and become a big movie star. I would have gotten fed to one of them, and it would have been the right thing to do.”

Unfortunately, The Rock and Austin had to leave WWE sooner than anyone wanted or expected, which is why the honor was bestowed upon Brock Lesnar to break The Undertaker’s Mania streak.

For 21 consecutive years, The Undertaker kept his streak undefeated. The Undertaker’s WrestleMania winning streak began at WrestleMania VII in 1991, where he defeated Jimmy Snuka. He went on to win the last match of his undefeated streak against CM Punk at WrestleMania 29 in 2013. However, two exemptions were when he missed WrestleMania X in 1994 and WrestleMania 2000 due to injuries.

Another WrestleMania loss for The Undertake came in 2017. It was Roman Reigns who pinned him at WrestleMania 33, handing him his second defeat at The Showcase of Immortals. Do you think The Rock or Steve Austin could have ended The Undertaker’s Mania streak if they stayed in WWE a little longer?
