In an old interview with Later Today 13 in 2000, The Rock revealed how he convinced Dany to date him. 

The interviewer asked, “so how did you hook up with such a regular nine-to-five sounding person?” To this, Johnson replied, “well, you know there’s a true juxtaposition there with Danny, and I…we were we were in college at a bar, and she was 22 senior I was a freshman 18. Here I am trying to convince this woman that I’m the one for you although I’m 18 years old, so, fortunately, she said okay.”

As Dany Garcia decided to give the charming freshman a chance, their love story took an unexpected turn.
