Dwayne Johnson Has the Perfect Response to a Young Girl Choosing Him Over Dear Friend Johnny Depp

Even the most successful people on the planet have a muse. Dwayne Johnson, one of the highest-paid actors in the world today, recently expressed the respect he has for Johnny Depp. 

While Johnny Depp and Dwayne Johnson are talented actors in their own right, the latter has a bigger fan base. Whether it is in wrestling or on the silver screen, Johnson’s influence in showbiz has perceivably been unparalleled so far. But the superstar is also quick to give credit where it is due.

Dwayne Johnson has done it all. From being tagged as the most desirable man on the planet to being one of the richest actors in the world, Johnson is living the dream. In addition, he puts a lot of effort into putting a smile on the faces of his supporters. 

Taking to Twitter, Dwayne Johnson tweeted the sweetest response to a young girl who stated that she would love to meet Dwayne Johnson over Johnny Depp. The girl’s tweet read, “My dad asked me, if I get to choose to meet Johnny Depp wearing his Jack Sparrow outfit; or meeting @TheRock at Disneyland? I paused, but then I said The Rock! Been wanting to meet that dude for a while.”

In response, Dwayne Johnson tweeted, “Looking forward to meeting one day. Tho JD as Sparrow is pretty damn cool!”

The fact that Johnson expressed his respect for Depp’s Jack Sparrow character only goes to show how highly he thinks of the actor. Johnson’s desire to make it big in Hollywood started when he saw the trailer of Pirates of the Caribbean for the first time. 

Let’s not forget, at one point, the Red Notice actor was rumored to replace Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise.

Dwayne Johnson entered Hollywood with the vision of having a career bigger than Will Smith’s. Naturally, he was laughed at as the idea of him ascending to such heights was considered inconceivable. However, a few years later, Johnson realized his dream. But his inspiration to evolve as an artist came from another actor.

In a resurfaced video, Dwayne Johnson recalled going to the screening of his film, The Scorpion King. Before his movie started, he was captivated by the entrancing trailer of Pirates of the Caribbean. The Great One stated the trailer elicited nostalgic feelings from his childhood.

It was at that moment that Johnson came to respect the genius of Johnny Depp. The former WWE superstar hoped to become as big a megastar as Johnny Depp. He said, “One of the trailers was Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean with Johnny Depp. He was the biggest star in the world at that time. I was so blown away by that trailer, the spectacle of it, the magic of it, the transportation of it.” “I thought I was a little kid again in a theatre eight years old in Charlotte, North Carolina, watching Indiana Jones. Like that’s how it made me feel.”
