Lisa Purves told Sports Illustrated that she tried to connect with her father multiple times, only to be snubbed. According to Purves, she contacted Rocky Johnson over the phone when she was 18, but the latter hung up on her. This happened a few more times before Purves gave up. Furthermore, Lisa claimed that she attempted to reach out to various wrestlers in order to deliver her message to Rocky Johnson, but to no avail.

Nonetheless, when Lisa discovered her other siblings, she began working on a documentary film about their reunion. The documentary film titled, Just Call Me Lisa, was released last year. We should note that Lisa stated that she and her siblings did not seek financial assistance from Dwayne Johnson.

“Dwayne doesn’t owe us anything,” said Lisa. “We just want to be recognized,” said Paula, 58. “We sat on the back burner forever. [Rocky] was our dad just as well as Dwayne’s.”

All in all, the five half-siblings never met their father after finding each other on the internet.
