Last year upon returning to WWE, Cody Rhodes had an amazing feud with Seth Rollins. The promos and the in-ring chemistry between the two were simply stunning, which made the fans invested in the feud. But recently, ‘The American Nightmare’ made a shocking revelation while recalling his Hell in a Cell match with the World Heavyweight Champion.

Rhodes went into the match with a torn pec and Rollins had to take precautions in their bout. However, after telling a beautiful story in the ring and gaining each other’s respect, their relationship backstage isn’t what we think.

Cody Rhodes says he and Seth Rollins are not friends

Recently, The American Nightmare is doing a series of interviews to promote his documentary. Thus, while talking to Chris Van Vliet, he reminisced about the Hell in a Cell match against ‘The Architect’ where he entered the demonic structure with a torn pec.

Cody Rhodes told Vliet about a decision Seth Rollins took for which he a forever grateful. Moreover, he also praised the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion. But this doesn’t make them friends as per the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble winner.

The former two-time Intercontinental Champion, “Seth and I are not friends. There has been some flirtation with it, don’t think it’s going to happen though. All of that aside, if I write a book one day, a whole chapter will be about how good he is. He’s super-valuable to WWE and he is still undervalued by them.”

Rhodes added, “I don’t wanna wrestle Seth ever again, but that day he made a decision that was very important. If you get him ask him because I don’t wanna say enough nice things about him.”

Clearly, there is something that both the WWE stars don’t want to reveal. But as per the words of Rhodes, he and Rollins have a mutual respect for each other’s work. Even though the 38-year-old says they are not friends, there were rumors of ‘The Visionary’ arranging a birthday cake for Rhodes this year.

Rollins shares his take on the rumors of him arranging cake for Rhodes’ birthday

A few days ago Seth Rollins appeared for an interview in Out of Character with Ryan Satin. Like all the WWE Universe, Satin was also eager to know the truth behind whether Rollins arranged a cake for Cody Rhodes’ birthday or not.

The ‘Monday Night Messiah’ said, “I will not confirm nor deny that…vicious rumor is out there.”

He did accept not denied the rumor. Hence, it makes confusing what is the truth. Anyhow they don’t dislike each other as per their words but are also not close friends.
