A lot is happening currently in the WWE Universe. Be it WrestleMania 39 or a great deal that involved the company shaking hands with another big name from the combat sports world. But in between all of this, one more shocking thing happened. Two of the NXT stars got freed from the promotion.
On one hand, WWE signed a merger with Endeavor owned-UFC to form a $21 Billion entertainment giant. However, on the other hand, the formerly known Grizzled Young Veteran’s request to get released from the company has been approved. The stars, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler glorified their names on the roster by naming several tag-team championships.

But they might have felt mistreated by the company, which then forced them to seek release. Surprisingly, fans’ thoughts also aligned with the released stars.

After the news dropped by Fightful Select, about the request of Reid and Fowler for leaving WWE, a confirmation came soon. Reliable journalist Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported about the wrestlers’ desire to be granted release from the company. However, there’s no official declaration by the wrestlers yet.

Fans express support for the NXT duo
It didn’t take much time for wrestling fanatics to flood the internet with ruthless criticism for one of the biggest sports entertainment. Their reaction to social media was proof of their complete support for the former members of Schism.
Among the worst gimmick changes of all time. Do not blame them one bit. Should have already been on the main roster as Grizzled Young Veterans. https://t.co/fM15j1xJhH

That’s super unfortunate but I don’t blame them. I really hope a deal can be reached that makes them want to stay because as GYV they are one of the best tag teams in the world but at the same time I totally respect their decision

A WWE fan even termed their booking choices in the roster as a criminal offense.
It's criminal how they've been booked. Glad they're freeing Yourselves.
