“Did He Offer You a Job During These Hard Times?”: Ex-WWE Champion Tries to Demean John Cena for Coming Back During an Ongoing Hollywood Strike

WWE has produced several exceptional talkers over the years. The modern era has produced several greats like Paul Heyman and LA Knight who can wield dramatic promos, perhaps the most underrated and special is The Miz. With the art of mastering his promo skills inherent in him, The A-Lister has now taken a dig against LA Knight and John Cena. However, this time, he’s made it a bit more personal.

On the latest episode of Raw, Miz stole the show by interviewing an invisible John Cena and LA Knight, before taking a huge jab at Cena. He facilitated this by talking about the ongoing Hollywood strike, shocking the WWE Universe in the process.

The Miz stuns John Cena

The Miz had a tough showing at Payback in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Not only was he trolled by John Cena, but he ended up losing his match to LA Knight.

With things to get off his chest, the ‘Must see WWE superstar’ hosted a special episode of Miz TV, involving a special guest. It was none other than John Cena. Unfortunately for fans, Cena wasn’t present on Raw. Instead, what they got was an invisible Cena, as one of the tricks pulled by The Miz.

However, the segment between him and invisible Cena escalated quickly as he accused Cena and Knight of conspiring against him at Payback. But the biggest shocker came when he spoke about Cena’s Hollywood strike indirectly.

He quoted: Did he offer you a job during these hard times? Did you purposely screw me over? Answer me! Did you conspire with LA Knight?

While he didn’t directly mention it, it’s evident what he was trying to imply. For those unversed, Hollywood is undergoing a crisis with the SAG-AFTRA writer’s strike. In other words, with the writer’s strike, Cena has plenty of free time, allowing him to return to WWE, as a regular for the next 2 months.

Furthermore, the A-lister trolled Cena and ended the fun promo with a skull-crushing finale to the invisible superstar. Nevertheless, it was the 16-time world champion who got the better of The Miz at Payback.

Cena and LA Knight conspired to claim a win against The Miz at Payback?

At Payback, Cena and Miz had an entertaining segment that culminated with the 46-year-old becoming a special guest referee for the match between Knight and Miz.

While there were several moments where there was tension between Knight and Cena, in the end, the leader of the Yeah movement prevailed by picking up an enormous victory. Not only that, the duo shook hands after the match, making The Miz question if this was all a conspiracy from the get-go.

Well, regardless of how things panned out at Payback, it was the 42-year-old who delivered a riveting segment on Raw, making fans realize why he’s an important part of Raw.
