The short and straightforward answer is no. Yes, he has lost a few matches after losing to Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico, but he gained his momentum pretty quickly. In the past few months, he became the undisputed tag team champion, twice. Not only that, he is also the owner of the Money in the Bank briefcase.

He is considered a top talent today and is associated with a dominant faction, The Judgment Day. So, no, his loss to Bunny at Backlash hasn’t caused any setback in his wrestling career at all. Furthermore, it is important to consider that Bad Bunny’s involvement in WWE wrestling matches is sporadic, while Priest is a dedicated full-time wrestler. Hence, it would be erroneous to judge Priest’s competence based on a solitary defeat.

Priest has proved to be a dominant force in WWE

Priest signed with WWE in 2018 and started his journey with NXT like almost all newcomers in the promotion. In just a matter of two years, he established a name for himself, earning him a transition to the main roster in 2021.

In five years, he held the NXT North American Championship, WWE United States Championship, and WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship, once, once, and twice respectively. Impressive, isn’t it? As mentioned before, he is also the proud holder of this year’s Money in the Bank contract.
