Following his defeat against Cody Rhodes, an intense and heartfelt scene unfolded in the ring, leaving fans deeply moved. Moreover, it was relayed by Triple H that Lesnar was spontaneous when he pulled Cody Rhodes into a warm embrace.

Brock Lesnar had been continually victimizing Cody Rhodes since WrestleMania 39. In the lead-up to their match at SummerSlam, Lesnar embarrassed Rhodes in front of his mother. And so, the stage was set for Rhodes to finally finish his rivalry with Lesnar at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
Despite enduring multiple F5s, German suplexes, and Kimuras, Rhodes defied the odds and emerged victorious against Lesnar, executing three consecutive Cross Rhodes moves. Following his triumphant moment, Rhodes’s jubilation turned to trepidation as he witnessed Lesnar rise to his feet once again.
Unexpectedly, things took a surprising twist as Lesnar extended his arm out of respect and hugged Rhodes after standing nose-to-nose with him.
Cody Rhodes looks genuinely surprised. Interestingly, he wasn’t the only one who expressed shock at that moment, as Triple H, who has worked with Brock Lesnar during his in-ring days, also expressed his astonishment over Lesnar’s actions.
During the post-show media scrum, The Game revealed that Lesnar’s gesture was unplanned. He said, “I heard Cody say he hadn’t had time to really digest the Brock Lesnar moment after their match—completely unplanned, completely in the moment.”
In addition, the Head of Creative then pointed out that it is rare for someone like Brock Lesnar to shake the hands of his opponents after a match of that magnitude.

Nevertheless, after sharing a heartfelt moment with Rhodes and displaying commendable sportsmanship, Lesnar left the ring, allowing Rhodes to celebrate his triumphant moment.
Despite achieving a massive milestone in his career, Rhodes reiterated that he doesn’t want to live it again.
Cody Rhodes says he does not want to wrestle Brock Lesnar again
Cody Rhodes dedicated his match against Brock Lesnar to his wife, Brandi Rhodes. The 2023 Royal Rumble Winner had a lot of pressure in the lead-up to his final match with Lesnar, However, Rhodes did not disappoint the fans in Détroit and subdued the Beast.

During the post-show press conference, Rhodes expressed gratitude toward Lesnar. But he also said that he never wishes to wrestle Lesnar again. He said, “I’m very grateful for what’s happened. I don’t wanna wrestle Brock Lesnar again. But I’m very grateful to do it and compete at his level,”
All in all, Rhodes has cemented himself as one of the few stars to have beaten Brock Lesnar cleanly. Anyway, we will have to wait and see what’s in store for Rhodes in the future. As for Lesnar, the 46-year-old star may step away from the ring for a while.
