Among those who didn’t have the luck to come across The Undertaker in a single PPV match, current AEW star Chris Jericho probably regrets it the most. The inaugural AEW Champion had a significant WWE stint before joining forces with Tony Khan’s promotion. Although the four WWE world champion kick-started his last title reign after snatching the title from The Undertaker himself in an Elimination Chamber match in 2010, he couldn’t get enough of him.

The AEW locker room leader recently weighed in on his thoughts about not being able to get a one-to-one PPV match with The Undertaker. It was never intentional, but ironically, both performed in different brands during their tenure.

During a live Q & A session on his Talk is Jericho podcast, the former WWE star noted, ‘We never had a match. Undertaker and I never had a f**king pay-per-view match. Just this one match because he was always on SmackDown when I was on Raw, and vice versa. Every time we’d cross paths was always great.

Jericho still believes it would be magical if they both would be able to face each other in a single match. Articulating his unsung dream, the star continued, ‘I actually even won the title from him once in Elimination Chamber but, we never had a singles pay-per-view match and feud and to me, that’s one of the biggest misses in WWE history because I know we would have had a great story and a great angle,’

There has been wide speculation of Jericho to come back to WWE ever since he left the promotion back in 2018. But it never materialized. However, the former world champion reportedly made an effort to be closer to WWE in a unique way.

Chris Jericho once proposed a WWE-AEW collaboration

There is a large wrestling fanbase who only loves the good sport and hence wants to see both the current top promotions of the world, AEW, and WWE, merging to produce greater matches for them. It was Jericho who caught the majority’s impulse right on point and made an approach to Triple H for an AEW-WWE collaboration. He wanted to have WWE NXT on his cruise ship, which is one of his popular entertainment ventures outside the squared circle.

But Vince McMahon rejected his idea because of the notion that he believed people could easily get sick on a cruise.

Speaking of Jericho’s current schedule, it has been reported that he might have a match with former WWE star CM Punk on his return to the promotion.

While his dream match with Undertaker will most possibly remain a dream given that The Phenom has retired, he could still have a few more dream matches with other stars.
