At the height of popularity in the WWE in the early 2000s, Dwayne Johnson took a bet on himself and moved to Hollywood to pursue acting as a full-time profession. Over the course of two decades, Johnson is inching closer to joining his former boss Vince McMahon and other billionaires. Yet, there was a time when The Great One was left with just seven bucks in his pocket.

Two years ago, Johnson grabbed the headlines by purchasing a mansion in Beverly Hills for nearly $30 million. That is, however, not the only pricey piece of real estate he owns. While the 51-year-old’s possession is enviable, Johnson’s real estate portfolio doesn’t measure up to boxing icon Floyd Mayweather’s.

Mayweather is reportedly the richest boxer in the world, having made more money than others in the sport. According to Celebrity Net Worth, ‘Pretty Boy’s’ personal wealth stands at $450 million, while his fights have made over $1.2 billion. The 46-year-old pugilist loves to flaunt his wealth and is open about his love for real estate.

He owns a mansion in Nevada, which he purchased for $10 million. One of Mayweather’s costliest assets is his Las Vegas mansion, costing the boxer a whopping $25 million. Apart from that, he owns a $18 million mansion in Miami, which covers 11,000-square-foot flooring.

These are not the only lands where he has invested money. The boxer has poured millions into commercial real estate as well. His investment portfolio, which is in excess of $150 million, comprises nine skyscrapers in New York. It also covers one of the tallest buildings in the city, One Vanderbilt, a 93-story architecture in Midtown Manhattan.

In comparison, Johnson has a 14,000-square-foot mansion in Virginia, which he purchased for $12 million. He is also the owner of a 15,000-square-foot equestrian estate in Georgia. The property cost the People’s Champ $9.5 million.

When compared, it is safe to say that the undefeated boxer is winning the real estate battle and Johnson has a long way to go if he wants to catch up to the 46-year-old.

That said, Johnson has a bigger purse, almost twice the size of Mayweather’s. So how did Dwayne Johnson’s net worth swell to $850 million? Let’s find out.

Movies are not the only source of Dwayne Johnson’s growing wealth

Dwayne Johnson is one of the highest-paid actors in the world. While movies make him a substantial amount of money, it is not the only source of income for the 51-year-old. In fact, a good portion of Johnson’s wealth is generated by his liquor company, Teremana, where he has a 30 percent stake.
