Things are getting heated and Dwayne Johnson is getting more and more regular with his WWE appearances as WrestleMania 40 draws closer. On SmackDown 03/08, the WWE legend’s iconic moment from WrestleMania KickOff event was recreated. However, the tables were turned this time around. The Rock received a slap from Cody Rhodes, as delivered a receipt to the Brahma Bull.

However, even after receiving a slap and getting disrespected in front of the entire crowd, Johnson appears to be in his element as he shared a tease for the upcoming Friday Night. In the post, he seems to be mocking his future tag team opponent.

The Brahma Bull has been persistent with his appearances in the Stamford-based company. Usually, he tends to announce his arrival in advance to help the promotion’s marketing and also tease what is about to come. Recently, he took to Instagram and posted a reel in which he can be seen exiting a car in kayfabe.

The WWE legend then places a cowboy hat on top of his head. The song playing in the background is ‘Who’s Your Daddy’ by Toby Keith. This suggests that Johnson is trying to bring a country vibe to WWE, but what could it be for?

In the caption, Johnson wrote, “If you get this look for more than 3 seconds, you know what it means 😉🍯🛻“. Then, he went on to announce that he will be present in Memphis for SmackDown 03/15.

This could be a tease to the return of the ‘Concert Rock’ where the wrestler would fire up a promo with the use of a song. If this happens, The American Nightmare could be someone who he would target while singing. So, this can be seen as a foreshadowing of the same.

While DJ would have had to deal with the aftermath of the public slap at the last SmackDown, Rhodes was celebrating the moment.

Cody Rhodes was happy after slapping his boss

The heated promo came to its climax when The People’s Champion claimed that Cody Rhodes was a “mistake“. All the fans know that the former AEW EVP doesn’t take personal insults lightly. When Johnson crossed a line with him, Rhodes had nothing much to reply but retort with a slap to the newest member of the TKO Board of Directors.

Although the footage was left at a cliffhanger at this moment, clips from fans showed us further that Rhodes was happy slapping Dwayne Johnson back.
