Logan Paul rose to the grace of the wrestling Universe after taking the US Championship belt from Rey Mysterio with a high-flying performance at Crown Jewel. While it was obvious for the social media sensation to ride on his seventh heaven, he didn’t do so and the reason includes a bombshell truth.

Paul, being an active internet influencer, never has had any problem with being upfront about any uneasy truth. And when it comes to his highly praised Crown Jewel gig, it didn’t go otherwise.

Rey Mysterio put his United States Championship belt on the line against the celebrity part-timer wrestler, Logan Paul. The Maverick handed the veteran a humiliating defeat although it came with a pinch of controversy.

Mysterio’s own stablemate Santos Escobar unexpectedly turned on him, leaving a pair of brass knuckles on the ring apron. Through this gateway, Paul got away with the belt.

But when Paul quickly took on an active role and saved Mysterio’s neck from a risky moonsault it didn’t go unnoticed by the netizens. They lauded the champion for the care he showed to his opponent.

But Paul couldn’t accept the wholeheartedly. Explaining the reason, he noted during the latest episode of Impaulsive, ”Look, I’m going to come clean because I’ve seen all these positive headlines right, ‘Logan saves Rey Mysterio’, the Mexican community going crazy, they’re praising me, saying I’m sort of a hero. So I’m like, dang, I’m being recognized for doing something cool. I’ll take it but then I looked at the clip…and upon assessing my performance, I did think I saved Rey Mysterio.”

”I think I also almost killed Rey Mysterio. I think I was too far back for the move and I think he didn’t clear enough ground for the move, that’s what happened… We both made a mistake and I had to catch him and I wasn’t gonna not catch him. So truthfully, while I like the headlines and I like being gassed up like this, I was just doing my job.” he added.

However, Logan Paul’s recent antics with his new title put a question mark on the sustainability of his championship reign.

Logan Paul seemingly tried to pawn off the coveted gold belt just within weeks of claiming it. On social media, he shared a video that showed him inquiring about the worth of the title in a pawnshop.

When the shopkeeper asked him if he was ready to sell it, he said he was in if it was a good deal and he deemed that $100,000 could prove to be a good deal.

WWE could punish Paul by taking it away from him in the breach of conduct ground. The wrestling promotion could also opt to make him lose it in his next title defense bout.
