Every great superstar has their very own humble beginnings. Be it Dwayne Johnson taking refuge in wrestling after being rejected by the NFL or The Undertaker who was just another wrestler on the NJPW circuit until Vince Mcmahon spotted him.

Everyone starts raw, and the same was the case with ‘The Beast Incarnate’, Brock Lesnar. He has made a name for himself in the ring with his explosive fighting style. However, in his early days, fighters in his hometown used to avoid fighting him for the same reason.

Lesnar has always had an impeccable wrestling record, even during his college days. He won the prestigious National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I heavyweight wrestling championship. By the end of his four-year college career, he won 10 championships in total with an overall fight record of 106-5.

While he was gathering all these laurels, Lesnar was also taking part in other fighting competitions in his hometown. But after a point, wrestlers were so terrorized by Lesnar that he had to travel to other states to find opponents.

In one UFC post-match press conference, one of the reporters asked Lesnar if there were a lot of fighters trying to fight him when he was growing up. To which he responded, “Once I made a name for myself, not so many, I had to go farther and farther out of my own territory”.

This clearly goes to show that even in his younger days, Lesnar was notorious for being a brutal brawler. He even admitted to being a ‘bully’ at the conference. The very same bully nature seems to follow him around to this day, as we saw this week on Raw.

Cody Rhodes was having the time of his life with his hometown fans cheering for him. His family, including his mother, was sitting in the front row, witnessing the extraordinary moment. But while Rhodes was paying respect to his family, Lesnar’s music played and Rhodes fell straight into the former’s trap.

Lesnar then mercilessly destroyed Rhodes with a chair and even F-5ed him straight onto the concrete floor as his family watched on in shock. He then continued to inflict more pain on Rhodes’ already injured left arm. The brutal thrashing ended with Lesnar accepting Rhodes’ challenge for SummerSlam.
