CM Punk returned to WWE with several goals in mind, and one of them was to be a part of the main event of WrestleMania. A triceps injury during his match at the Royal Rumble Battle Royal will prevent that from happening, but that doesn’t mean the former world champion’s career is over.

After all, his fans surely cannot stop loving him. It is evident by the fact that despite not being a part of any WWE storyline at the moment, he still managed to beat Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes in merch sales.

CM Punk’s return to the ring and his return at Survivor Series gave a lot to talk about. His comeback video on YouTube broke records for WWE in terms of views, but it’s not the only thing that the former world champion’s comeback has caused in the professional wrestling environment. A recent tweet on X by WrestleFeatures revealed that CM Punk T-shirts are the highest-selling T-shirts in the WWE shop. The second spot is taken by The Rock’s ‘Slap’ T-shirt and the third is Jey Uso’s ‘Yeet’

Well, it surely looks like fans love to show their support to the ‘Cult of Personality’. And it isn’t the first time though that they have shown such massive love for Punk in terms of merch sales. Back when CM Punk made his debut for AEW, the fans couldn’t help but let their love be known.

CM Punk became the record-breaker for AEW

Back when CM Punk made his debut on AEW Rampage: The First Dance, through his return, he broke the sales record on one of the most recognized wrestling jersey sales sites: Pro Wrestling Tees. As reported by the store on its Twitter account, the CM Punk T-shirt, which he wore at AEW Rampage, became the fastest to sell within 24 hours, breaking all possible records.

It should be remembered that, shortly after his return, the shirts and merchandising began to be available on ShopAEW.com and in the Pro Wrestling Tees itself, which ended up crashing due to the number of demands to get hold of the historic jersey of the moment.
