Despite being one of the biggest names in the entertainment business, Dwayne Johnson’s presence did not create an upsurge in Fast X‘s box-office numbers. The movie did not have the same impact as its predecessors.

Johnson last appeared in The Fate of the Furious and later in the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw before vanishing from the series. Fans have been waiting ever since for The Brahma Bull’s return.

Directed by Louis Leterrier, fans had high hopes for the tenth installment in the franchise. Instead, it managed to gather mixed reviews, mostly negative from both the fans and critics alike. Even though the film did well worldwide, it had a sad domestic run. Fast X earned a total of $703 million, $144 million of which was its domestic earning.

The sum is significantly lesser than what the previous film F9: The Fast Saga grossed. The ninth movie in the series earned a total of $726 million worldwide, comprised of $173 million in domestic earnings. Johnson’s previous film, Black Adam also had a lackluster run at the box office, ending up with both low collections and poor reviews.
