Deadpool Star Ryan Reynolds Once Got Away With a Wild Joke at 6’5 Co-Star Dwayne Johnson’s Expense That Could Have Ended With Him Getting Punched

Dwayne Johnson has millions and millions of admirers, encompassing both fans and fellow Hollywood stars. Fans adore the Great One for his magnetic personality and gregariousness. However, his co-star once managed to get away with a quirky joke about The Rock. The star in question is none other than Ryan Reynolds. 

So, what did the Deadpool actor say that could have potentially caused him some trouble? He made a bizarre joke about his impression of Dwayne Johnson’s occiput. He said that The Rock’s back of the head looked something like a pen*s. 

Ryan Reynolds jokes about Dwayne Johnson’s head

In 2021, Dwayne Johnson made an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show along with Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot to promote their then-soon-to-be-released film, Red Notice. At some point during the conversation, the show host brought up Ryan Reynolds’ perception of Dwayne Johnson’s back of the head.

While Reynolds was on the spot, they pressured him into revealing that he thought Dwayne’s head looked like a pen*s. As per his depiction, it didn’t align with the playful comparison of a baby’s arm with an apple in its fist but rather leaned towards the imagery of a phallus. However, Reynold cleverly admitted that he was apprehensive about saying something like that to Johnson before finally saying it. 

He said, “I try to never say anything cruel to Dwayne that I know I can’t get away with. But I did say the back of his head did look not too dissimilar to a pen*s. That’s a scary thing to say to someone like Dwayne.”

As the WWE icon looked on with an awkward smile, Gal Gadot jested, “That’s a very thick head”. The banter did not stop, though, as Ryan Reynolds introduced more adjectives like “beautiful” and “gorgeous” to describe The Walking Tall actor’s head.

Finally, the host of the show requested that The Rock turn around, allowing everyone to form their own judgments about the appearance of his head. Nevertheless, Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds are very close friends in real life. Furthermore, Johnson, Gadot, and Reynolds performed admirably in the film, earning plaudits from the masses.

Their performances helped the film reach an impressive milestone.

Dwayne Johnson’s Red Notice became the fifth most-streamed film on Netflix in 2021

After the release of Red Notice, Netflix claimed that the film became the most-viewed movie during its debut weekend, reportedly grossing between $1.24 to $1.5 million. In addition, the movie also garnered the most views within 28 days of its release.

The film landed in the fifth spot as the most streamed film on Netflix. Despite receiving an average rating from the critics, the audience gave their thumbs up to the action/comedy film.
