Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles WWE World Heavyweight Championship match came as a classic at Night of Champions last week despite a few criticisms. Rollins ended his four-year wait, winning the new World Heavyweight Championship title, taking Styles down with a stomp.

However, their rivalry soon faded out when Styles joined forces with his subduer Rollins at next week’s RAW to stand against The Judgement Day. It wasn’t very well received by fans as they expect something more spicy in terms of Styles’ involvement immediately after his devastating loss. WWE probably picked up the fans’ sentiment and is currently proceeding toward adding some more drama to the saga.

It has been reported that WWE higher-ups have something in their mind regarding a character change for the former WWE Champion AJ Styles. ‘The Phenomenal One’ has worked both as a heel and face in the past and recorded remarkable success. He clinched the world title in both personas. But given his present gimmick, it’s pretty evident that it becomes quite stagnant and monotonous.

On top of it, Styles came off as a massive babyface alongside Rollins shortly after his defeat at the Night Of Champions. Even WWE veterans and fans couldn’t find any logic behind this and termed his presence utterly unnecessary.

Therefore, WWE may have decided to add some more interesting elements to his character.

BWE noted on his private Twitter account, “Discussion over AJ being more aggressive and determined. Might kick off on SD. Yet to be confirmed.”

However, amid the exciting character change rumor, the 46-year-old recently weighed in on his retirement plan.

AJ Styles comments on his retirement plan

After completing 7 years in WWE successfully, the veteran gave thought about how to put a perfect end to his almost-perfect journey as a pro wrestler. Most of the time, we see wrestlers go for early retirement due to injury-related issues. But that won’t be the case for Styles.

”I just wanna be able to finish and go out the way that I want to. For Edge, his first one, he retired because he thought his career was over, and that’s the way it is for a lot of us in what we do. So I am just hoping to finish. I wanna finish, and I wanna finish my way and not due to injury.” Styles noted during his latest appearance in My Love Letter to Wrestling Podcast.
