When WWE mentions the Alpha Male of all species, there is only one name that comes to our mind. Brock Lesnar. We know the Beast Incarnate physically decimates his opponents inside the ring. His power, workout regime, and prowess have earned him the distinction of being one of the most decorated athletes in combat sports.

But did you remember seeing Brock Lesnar resort to mental tactics more often? The answer would arguably be no, but his recent statement about a WWE superstar on RAW might have shaken up his confidence. This in turn led him to make a bold proclamation ahead of Night of Champions pay-per-view.

Brock Lesnar is gearing up for a blockbuster rematch against the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes at WWE Night of Champions. Lesnar has unleashed a fury like no other on Rhodes towards the build-up for their second showdown. However, as Brock was making his way out towards the ringside area on RAW this week, he might just have berated a WWE superstar standing there.

Before he went across the curtain, Lesnar saw Mustafa Ali standing in the Gorilla position. Out of nowhere, the former WWE champion launched a supposed insult towards him, asking him to “Get a life.” It could have potentially been towards Ali not being able to garner the success he had foreseen for himself in WWE.

Moreover, it looked like Ali was about to go to the ring himself to discuss his upcoming WWE Intercontinental title match at Night of Champions against Gunther at Night of Champions. But Brock’s statement stopped him in his tracks. This led to Ali posting a video on Instagram later on, proclaiming that if he was unable to defeat The Ring General at the event, then he might be done with his career.

“I am laying it all on the line … at Night of Champions if I can’t be great … if I can’t be a champion, then I don’t deserve to be here … this Saturday, my dream finally comes true … or my dream dies … and if it is gonna die, then I’m going down with it,” said the WWE star.

Ali could gain or lose, perhaps everything he has worked for in his entire wrestling career this Saturday.

Does Mustafa Ali have self-belief heading into the match?

Mustafa Ali outlasted a wave of RAW superstars in a battle royale last week to earn an opportunity at Gunther’s title. The fans were shocked at Ali’s victory, as many of them did not expect him to eliminate an entire field of competitors. In the same video, Ali reflected on his moderate career so far and his latest victory coming as a surprise for the audience.

“I don’t want to continue … pretending to be something I’m not … My whole life … I have dreamed about doing something great … about being a champion … when I look back at my career … I haven’t even got close to being those things … and you all have seen, it’s been barrier after barrier … and this is why no one believes that I even have a chance in hell at defeating Gunther and becoming the Intercontinental champion.”

However, Mustafa Ali still believes that he can put down the dominant Gunther and win the WWE Intercontinental Championship in Saudi Arabia.

“but for some reason, I still believe I can … I know I can … because I am still Mustafa Ali.”
