‘The Rock was so good,’ said Hulk Hogan

During the Icon vs. Icon match at Mania X8, ‘The Hulkster’ was 48 years old and Rock was 30. Plus, Hogan’s persistent back issues were not a secret in the pro wrestling community. Johnson can be a tough opponent to fight. But Hogan said that during their bout at Mania, he felt at ease while wrestling his opponent.

He said, “It took me about 7 or 8 minutes to get it right. And then we kind of slow danced through it. It was a miracle. He was so good. He was so good with the timings and the placements and just listened to the crowd with his ear and his heart. Once we got on the same page, then I could have danced with him all night. It was just really easy.”

‘The Great One’ made the bout so easy for Hogan that he felt like he danced through the match. Wrestlers are supposed to take care of each other and help their opponent carry out the match in order to prevent any botches or injuries. This is what Johnson did exactly.
